Self Advocacy
Published: Wednesday, 25th November 2020
Sheffield Voices is a self advocacy service that brings together people within our community to strengthen our voice.
This is a free service for anyone with a learning disability who wants to come together to have a say in matters that affect our lives.
We meet on a Tuesday and Thursday morning 11-12pm on Zoom.
We work with national groups and local councils, health services and universities to create a more inclusive society.
In addition to our group meetings, Disability Sheffield which is our main charity, offers a free, confidential, one to one, independent advocacy service for all disabled people living in Sheffield.
If you are having trouble getting the health or social care services that you need, we may be able to help you.
We are part of the Sheffield Advocacy Hub . If you are a professional wanting to make a referral for statutory advocacy please contact the Hub on 0800 035 0396.
